Upon agreement to start on your creative project, you are agreeing to the terms of service below:
Payments and Refunds
Payments are accepted by cashier’s check, money order, or PayPal. A 50% deposit is due before the start of any creative project.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of said project. Due to the time involved in design work, there are no refunds given at any time.
Revisions
For most web design projects, two rounds of revisions will be offered unless otherwise stated. I will use the information you’ve provided through my Contact Form and through my design brief I’ll forward to you after our initial contact.
The design brief may seem long, but necessary in order for us to understand exactly what you want and need in your new design. The more information you can provide, the smoother the design process will go.
Timeline
For web design projects, the initial design will be ready approximately 3-7 days from project start date. Upon receipt of the first concept, you have 5 days to submit ideas for revisions.
Revisions are amendments to the initial concepts and are in line with the ideas you detailed in your design brief. I strive to provide prompt service to all clients, but all times are estimates.
Project Start Date
I will begin within 1-5 days after funds have been deposited into my PayPal account or as soon as a check clears.
Protecting Your Files and Backups
I take the necessary steps to protect the files by doing regular backups on an external hard drive. Once the files are transferred to you, it’s your responsibility to keep backups of your design files as well as your database.
For all websites, we will install a scheduled backup plug-in to ensure you’re always covered in the case something happens. READ: I am not responsible if your files are lost.
Communication
You agree that all correspondence will be done over email and/or through ManyMoon, a project management service I sometimes like to use. Once I begin working on your project, it’s important for you to be available as timely communication equals speedy delivery of your creative work.
If for some reason your project is delayed, I WILL start work on newer projects until I hear from you. Lack of communication simply means the project will take longer to be completed.
If you are unable to communicate, go on vacation, or have a family emergency, etc., just let me know. Please call or email and explain the situation so we’re on the same page.
In the event I do not hear from you or your associates for a period of 21 days (3 full weeks) of our last correspondence, your project will be removed from my creative timeline and your payment will be forfeited.
To restart on the project, you would be responsible for the initial 50% deposit again and the remaining balance once the project is completed.
Browser Compatibility
I understand that everyone uses a different browser. Therefore, I take the necessary steps to ensure your website renders in all major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera). Older, outdated versions of these browsers (IE 6 is not supported) cannot be guaranteed.
And just as a note, Internet Explorer is plain awful. It’s the bane of the internet as far as I’m concerned. Do yourself a favor and start using a better browser. Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari are great choices and will make your internet experience very rich and enjoyable. You’ll never look back.
Copyright Notice
Any files or images you send to use for your design purposes must be owned by you or you must have the written consent to use them. If they are copyrighted and you do not tell me, I am not responsible nor liable.
Credit For My Work
I reserve the right to display the completed project in my design gallery and provide a screenshot with a link back to your site. I also reserve the right to submit my creative work to online and offline creative galleries for promotion.
A “web design by JC Deen” text or image link will be placed in the footer of your website or blog design by default. If you do not wish to have any credits in your design, please inform me.
I will not issue a penalty charge for this but credits are a standard procedure unless you make a request for removal. I’m confident you’ll be so happy with the work that you’ll want to tell all your friends anyway.
Privacy Policy
Any information you submit through my contact forms, or payment forms via PayPal are all protected and never shared. I understand the dangers of spam and take such nuisances seriously.
All of your information is confidential and will never be sold to a third party. My clients are very important, and I take great pride in building relationships.
Therefore, all your information is safe. By using the site and submitting your information, you understand fully that privacy invasion will not be an issue.
